Ok, I know it's still
technically summer, but the CNE (
Canadian National Exhibition, for you non-Ontarians) always marks the end of the season for me.
This year we took my parents who were in town for their very first "Let's Go to the Ex" experience. They joined us in stuffing our faces with junk food, the most
tiny, delicious doughnuts and watched Ciaran enjoy his first taste of cotton candy. I skipped the deep-fried butter, though. Cause, you know, that's just wrong! Cheryl from
Mommypants would be proud of me for that, of this I'm certain.

Wow - that weather sucks! Actually, i was hoping you WOULD try the deep fried butter. You know, take one for the team so we could hear how it is.. ;)
I love the pics! And I should be proud of the fact that you skipped the dip fried butter, but instead I'm craving it now!

Yeah, we did the Ex...on the hottest day of the year...so we shopped! The kidlets had much fun, but I think after dropping $400 for the day for a family of 6, not including the shopping, I'm happy to continue having it a "once in a decade" tradition!
What a sweet little face. If he's anything like Eve, you may regret the first taste of cotton candy. :)
I think summer should always end with carnies. Its the right thing to do.
I've only been to the CNE once and remember thinking it was huge!! We took in a fair this weekend too and the kids loved it:) Great pics!
